When widower James Sunderland receives a letter in the mail from his late wife, Mary, saying she is waiting for him at their "special place" in Silent Hill, he ignores the impossibility of her having written him three years after her death and drives to meet her. But keeping a rendezvous with a ghost is harder than it sounds. Not only does James have no idea where their special place is, but there is something seriously wrong with Silent Hill. Four years ago the town was a bustling resort destination, but now the town is a nightmare: the streets are abandoned, permeated with thick mist, and prowled by bizarre monsters. Desperate to find Mary, James continues his search, in spite of the danger, and eventually comes face-to-face with a terrible truth.
Silent Hill 2 is the second game in the Silent Hill series; it was released in 2001 on the Sony PlayStation 2 and later ported to the Microsoft Xbox and PC. Although the game is set in the town of Silent Hill, it is not a direct sequel to the story in the first Silent Hill. It is a stand alone story that takes place in the 17 years between the end of Silent Hill and the beginning of Silent Hill 3.

On the main screen you have three options:
Prologue
Battle
Options
Options are normal except you can't tab over to the extra options (such as changing noise grain, blood color, etc.).
Prologue has you starting at the beginning. You grab the map outta your car and head down the observation stairs. After you take just a few steps (after the stairs when it loads the lake path) it almost immediately loads/spawns you to the gate before the cemetery/Angela. After Angela's graveyard cutscene, you proceed like normal to the exit gate from the cemetery. Upon opening the gate the trial ends.
Battle takes place when you first enter Woodside Apartment. A lot of the Lying Figures aren't wandering the halls. Only a few here and there. Anyway, you're already equipped with the flashlight/gun. The mannequin on the floor where you get the flashlight never gets up. The scream ("What was that? Some kind of noise North from here...") happens too and PH is behind the bars as usual. You get the key in the hole in the wall, solve the clock puzzle, proceed to the second floor. The trial ends when you enter the room with PH raping the mannequins. You see about 3 seconds of the cutscene before the trial ends.

Menko is a very old Japanese card game that was popular since the Edo period and played by two or more players. One player places a thick cardboard menko card on hardwood or concrete floor and the other player throws down his/her card, trying to flip the other player's card with a gust of wind or by striking his/her card against the other card. If he/she is sucessful they get to keep both cards. The player who takes all the cards or the has the most cards at the game's end wins. The game is pretty much just like "pogs" that was popular when I was ten years old!
